Previously I talked about how the clutch in my mom's E46 330xi is difficult. Now, after weeks of practice, I have the E46 clutch figured out for the most part. However, I noticed something odd while driving my grandma's 325xi. The clutch is way more consistent with her NC Miata and my dad's 240 wagon. I'm puzzled.

Off-topic fact: I had a dream that I was being driven in an S2000 with three other fellas. Since I've always wanted to drive an S2000, I asked if I could have a try. Nevermind the fact that I don't actually really know how to drive a manual and my provisional doesn't alllow me to drive people I'm not related to.

Clutch delay valve maybe?
This post explains it nicely. The E46 has it too.

Y'see, I didn't know that. And, apparently, neither did my subconscious when it created that dream.

Well I can drive my brother's ford fiesta ST just fine, but can't drive my mom's Nissan almera ... It feels like you have to ask the back seat passenger to pass you third gear

It's called the clutch delay valve, and it should be the first thing removed from any E46.
